What is colostrum?

Colostrum is the first milk produced by the mammary glands after the birth of mammals. All the substances contained in colostrum help the young survive in a new environment.

Colostrum is valued for its high content of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, proteins, growth factors, protease inhibitors and immunoglobulins, especially IgG, which plays a key role in the immune system. Colostrum also contains antibodies effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi, and lactoferrin — a multifunctional protein that reduces inflammation in the body. Growth factors have a beneficial effect on wound healing, muscle mass formation, improve nervous system function and increase overall vitality.

Curcumin

An extract from the long turmeric root plant, which grows in India. It is a yellow colourant that is part of turmeric. Dried turmeric powder contains approximately 3.14% curcumin, which is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
