💎 The history of the bottle. The name translates from French as «Life is beautiful», and these are not just words but a whole philosophy. The ideological inspirer of the composition was the founder of the house of Lancôme, Armand Petitjean, who back in 1949 dreamed of creating a bottle embodying a woman’s smile. The designer Georges Delhomme drew the sketch of the «Crystal Smile», but in those years it was technically impossible to bring it to life.

More than half a century later the dream came true, the bottle in the shape of a crystal smile became a symbol of a free and happy woman. To Delhomme’s original 1949 design, a chiffon scarf was added at the neck of the bottle for the 2012 relaunch, as a symbol of freedom.
